Ok well this is awkward I put in what I thought was one of my subdominant male yellow labs in my timeout/healing tank. I have had my yellow labs breed a few times in my other tank and thought I had figured out which ones were all females. I put this one in my spare 55 because "he" was being beat up by my dominant male and needed some time to recover. "he" had never held before or looked interested in mating "he" was the second largest lab in the mbuna tank and all the smaller females hold from time to time. Well in this new tank I had re-homed a juvenile Livingstonii that was in my 125 tank. Well they have been together for about a month and a half and I go to feed them and well "he" became a she and is holding. I new mbuna could cross breed with other mbuna I had no idea they could breed with Haps. What should I do? They will make some ugly babies. Should I wait for her to spit them and feed them to my Fronts or see if the dad will eat them all?
