Good morning.
Gender change in marine fish is well known, but what FW sp. do this?

I have what I thought was a school of 4x male & one female SD, based on anal fin - little to no point & not much red. Now I look, and it seems there's a second female, while the red of the remaining males is enhanced, brightened.
Curious...

I also thought I was 4x female and 1x male Zamora cat, but seeing another big male this AM. Much hiding always, to can't be sure of initial.

No clue about tetras. With that said, I had a female SA cichlid, change sexes, and raise a batch of fry with one of her/his daughters. Talk about weird....

With silver dollars some of the juveniles may have another genders coloration while young and once their older they will change to right color of their gender.

In tilapia farming they feed the new hatchlings on a testosterone-laced flake that pushes the balance from ~50:50 to >98% male. This allows an even & rapid growth per cohort, though that 2% wreaks havoc quickly.
Huh. That is weeird
