I can't tell the vents but they look like male and female to me to keep it simple. The male fader is beautiful. Totally from the tip of his fins to the tip of his lips he is beautiful

hope they pair up soon then
they've been separated by a divider for a year now but nothing has happened yet
the female as you say it is , has never laid eggs
the female was way different than what you see now

in that case, the female might be a male too. Because before the fading, there wasnt any big black blotch. And it never laid eggs..

I say go get you another female
