Depends if your ornate is aggresive and the weeksi would fight back. Even if they do fight, they don't really cause a fatal dmage that will kill the fish if they are the same size. Bichirs are tough and I have seen them fight. Food will change their mind and stop fighting. Bichirs actually rarely fight.
