General Piranha Question

I was wondering how many Red Bellied Piranhas I could stick in my 75 gallon aquarium.

looking good so far. I'd say add more cover, places to hide, and probably more filtration but I cant really tell what filter you have on there.

I have an Aqueon 55 for filtration.

I'd add more filtration for sure. I'd go with a magnum 350 or similar canister. Or if you prefer hob you could throw a emperor 400 on there. That's with what you have, not in place of.

you'll have to upgrade the filter to help keep up with the bio load.
HOB filter is fine for mechanical filtration, can consider add an other canister for bio filtration.

I have another 55 gallon hob filter at my dads house that I could add if that would work.

That would be better than nothing but your best bet would be to start looking for a used canister filter. How big are the fish you're getting?
