There are several common pikes that are readily available...Crenicichla sp. 'xingu I', Crenicichla sp. 'venezuela', Crenicichla johanna, and Crenicichla sp. 'bellycrawler' are the most common pikes seen in LFS. Gachua don't get very large, and most of the common pikes listed get at least 12". The Crenicichla sp. 'bellycrawler' doesn't get quite as large, but still has a relatively large mouth and is fairly aggressive. Top that wit the fact that pikes and snake heads look some what similar in appearance, you get problems. Pikes don't like other pikes, and snakeheads don't really like other snakeheads. Thus, there is a chance the pike and sh will fight...which will not be good. I would have to say no, pikes and shs just won't work.
