He's mostly Trimac but Hell if I can tell what else he is. Take a guess. By his temperament I'd almost say red devil. He bit me for the first time yesterday but the RD has been doing it for a year

My gues is the temperment is from the trimac in him-And he is mostly trimac too-From what i can tell ne how-how big is it exactly?
I agree...looks like a trimac. Great looking fish though. Regardless of what he is, I hope you enjoy him!
By the by he is 10" and he needs killer size tank mates in multiple numbers. My poor Texas has been taking the brunt of his abuse. I don't think he is a true Trimac. I've heard that real Trimacs have a black marking below their eyes and that was how you could distinguish them apart. Anyone else been told this?

Not sure about the eye thing, seen plenty of "trimacs" that didn't have the teardrop. Great looking fish regardless
