I can't sex these guys to save my life. So if you could help me out. Also, anyone else that had one they need sex feel free to post it here since we have had so many of them lately. The last pic is blurry but it shows his "trailers" so I included it. Good luck everyone.

Male is my guess, simply on how often he fights his reflection. But Frank Castle has a crazy ass female that made me doubt myself. Lol I figured it was an A.Rivulatus but I also have a hard time distinguishing between those two as well. I'm just not good with these guys in general. Lol

yea, I ordered a male and that was what they sent me, but she had her ovipositor out when I got her that day so that's the only reason I know she's a female. Otherwise, you're totally right, she has every male characteristic you can think of

1.) How big is yours?
2.) it's a rivulatus
3.) I would say female, but the flaring-out and upwards dorsal trailer makes me want to think "male" so it could still go either way. I want to say male for now - note that males get their hump or just a deep slope anywhere between 3-5" depending on how dominant they are

He is between 3-4 inch, he/she had a hump when I picked it up. But seems to have gone down since it's been alone in the tank. Well except for a couple black neon tetras.

Do you have small cichlids you can put in with it? a LITTLE female Convict around 2" would be perfect and if u don't have one already, super-cheap as well. We have them for about $2-3

Yeah, I have one I could put in there. But it's a small tank. Only a 40 gallon and this guy shredded 4 other Similar size GT's in the 20 he was in before I got him. So I dunno. I would like him to get the jump back though... We'll see
