Picked up three of these cool little drop checkers from Charlie/Fish Tank Factory and I must say they are sweet! They are made by ISTA/Waterplant and they attach so the bubble faces the outside of the tank. And they have a white background so they make it very easy to see the color of the solution - one of my main complaints with the standard glass drop checkers out there.

Plus, the back part is removable for cleaning and changing out the solution. Only time will tell how well the seal holds up and if it will leak. But so far I'm very happy with them. Not bad for $7 each. I definitely recommend you co2 guys getting some :)

Does the solution seem to be accurate?
What solution? I use lab-certified 4dkh solution in there, you're not supposed to use aquarium water. By using a known kh solution, the resulting color can be matched to your ph test kit color card, and then compared to the kh/ph chart for a very accurate co2 number.

A green color correlates with API's color card to be a ph of 6.6. A PH of 6.6 and a Kh of 4kdh = 30ppm of co2, which is considered optimal for plant growth.

Some guys on another forum were wondering how they worked so I snapped some more pics

Thanks, but no, these were just on a piece of white paper under a desk lamp lol. Oh and flashed bounced straight into the ceiling ;)
