Geo. altifrons in a 75g?

I would like to house some mid-size SAs in my 75g (48"x18x21")
I was hoping to fit some Geophagus altifrons.....is this tank too small for this species?

if not, what tankmates would you recommend?

I think a pair might do alright in a tank that size. Or maybe a trio of 2 females and one male. I havent ever kept this specific one, but most geos do ok like that. What other fish you plan on keeping in the tank

I am planning this tank from the ground up, so no tankmates are set in stone.
I do like Severums, and flagtail characins or silver dollars, but to be honest I have not done the research yet to see if they are suitable tankmates for geophagus altifrons.

what would you recommend as tankmates in a tank this size?

As long as your filtration is good a pair of severums should do ok. Silver dollars never really bother anything as well, but remember that they all get pretty big so dont put too many of each.
