I'm picking up a 125 gal tomorrow for my geos and with that means a little extra space for one or maybe a couple fish. I was wanting another cichlid just not sure what one would work best or what others have had good luck with together. Suggestions? Things to watch out for? Thanks.

I'm keeping surinamensis, daemons, yellow nape chocolates, and proteous pikes w/ my altifrons. I also keep a small school or hassar richter catfish, silver dollars and a ton of plecos w/ them! Altifrons are awesome fish!

My buddy who runs my local LFS is keeping super red severums, abalios, ebjds and red head tapajos w/ his spawning pairs of altifrons in a 180.

Firemouth are cool. I like keep South Americans w/ South Americans and Centrals w/ Central, but that's just me. Pictus cats are cool. They have some pretty cool catfis on aquabid lately. I have a Megaladoras irwinei w/ my Altifrons which is a kickass catfish, I just took out a sturio catfish and put it w/ my Geophagus neambis, so pictus could definitely work.

I kept severums, Honduran red points, and even pikes with geos with no problems at all

I would definitely be keeping an eye out for pikes, pictus, and silver dollars then. I'm so excited I just picked up the 125 and an xp3 for 85 bucks:)
