well, if you were following along my tank thread, the eggs finally hatched. the fry are swimming along next to the parents and here is the only photo i could snap. real neat watching these guys

Nice! Glad you made a thread about these guys as i was wondering you could share some insight on how to sex and any breeding tips. I have three but have no idea how to sex them.

Like many SA cichlids, the males are larger, have more vibrant coloration and longer fins. On my pair, the male's dorsal and anal fins trail midway to the end of the caudal fin; on my female, the dorsal and anal fins end at the base of the caudal fin. My female has also retained a prominent spot; on the male, that has nearly disappeared. Finally, the males have a hint of a nuchal hump, though it is certainly not large.
