I just got a this lil Geo today at my LFS which has been there for a bit... i believe that its parents were at the store before, but were sold as a breeding pair...I only bought one of them, anybody know how to sex these fish ??

Im think this is a Geophagus Surinamensis, but im not sure, anybody know for sure? and any good pictures of what looks like an adult of what i bought???

...also thats DEF a firemouth next to the Geo right?? They both seem to be Eartheaters..

Thanks Josh.:naughty:

p.s. sorry that i take such bad pictures, i was in a rush...

Looks like Geophagus sp. topajos II

Very similar to the topajos orange heads, but topajos II have a gold shimmer to their body.

Nice fish bro.:D

I was gonna say they kind of look like yours. They are all so hard to ID when they are small.

BTW- is that a Biotodoma in those pics? cupido or wavrinni?

So this lil guy is DEF not a Geophagus Surinamensis? THe LFS had nooooo clue what they were but they last minute labeled them them Surinamensis. How big do the topajos or whatver get??? I like it alot, i just have no idea what it is...

everybody seems to label geos that look like these as surinamensis its funny as surinamensis are practically impossible to get.
best wait until it puts some size on and also find out where it was caught.

It was tank bred whatever Geo it is, and the parents i have no idea where they came from, and i never got a chance to see them... but no clues>>? My hope was an ALtifron somehow, but whatever he/she is Im happy with the buy.
