Sup guys,
Recently purchased 8 Geophagus Altifrons juvinelles, they were labeled as Geophagus Surinamensis but some of the experts say they are Altifrons.

Anyways , 1 of the Geos is noticeable whiter then the others. The other Geos heads have a goldish green tint, where this one's head is straight up white. So white it glows at certain light angles. and doesn't even shoal with the others unless it feeding time. here are some pics.

For a good conformation on the ID I would still wait for them to get a bit bigger. The presence of a larger lateral spot makes me think abalios but the tail pattern (i believe is spotted) looks altifrons. But they could be a different species, easiest way IMO is let them get bigger. As for the whiteness I have no idea. Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
