Lol all good, I thought the shape was wrong for an acara, but I’ve never kept a geo or acara until now
Yeah mouth and head shape is different.
A. Pulcher has a line of color on the dorsal and strip pattern is different.
Plus it’s getting harder to find any Normal Blue Acara since the Electric blue Has came onto the scene.

The shape looks wrong because the brasiliensis group are not the same as surinamensoid-type geos. They are usually written as ‘Geophagus’ brasiliensis because they are likely to be reclassified into their own genus soon. They are not constant sand-sifters like the surinamensis group are.
