Geo need help with ID

These are too small to accuratly I'd as g. altifrons IMO. The ones with the black stripe through the eye and black linning running vertical at the tip of the dorsal is Acarichthys heckelii.

OP do a search on this section, the topic is covered frequently and there are some lovely pics to reference with yours. I like your swords BTW ;)

How you can tell the difference between altifrons and abalios?

The difference that I have noticed is altifrons have all blue dots on their tail as well some redish tint in their tail. They also tend to have little to no black dot. (i.e. my avatar is of an altifron) Abalios are more golden in color, have a big black dot, and their are blue stripes and blue dots on their tail fin. By no means am I an expert, just some observations I have noticed with my geo species.

IMO I would say you have G. Altifron, but as JK47 suggested, they are a bit small to fully tell.

In the first picture, it looks like three different types of eartheaters are present. The one on the bottom left looks to be an altifron IMO, the top middle one seems to look like a A. Heckelii, and the other two, to me anyways, looks to have red on their forehead, which would indicate some sort of Redhead/Orange Head Tapajos. again, that is just my observation! :)

Thanks for the info .. The one with the red head is actually a my blue rams :). The Acarichthys heckelii i had them for awhile its just the altifrons/abalios that i was wondering about. I looked at different pix of the geo alti/abalios and had a hard time looking at the difference. Thanks GEO QUEEN for the tips...

My mistake, it is looking head on so I wasnt sure if it was a geo or not! Blue rams are beautiful fish! I cant wait to pick some up. Here is a link to one of my geo tanks, actually it was the only tank I had at the time, and you can sort of see the difference between adult abalios and altifrons and their coloration difference

They do look like altifrons, but at that size the mid lateral spot can sometimes completely fade depending on their mood. One of your heckelii looks like a guianacara to me.

Actually when I look closer, they strike me more as dicrozoster. I'm not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I can see a slight y barring.

I love your tank and geos :) i see the tail of the abalios have a running blue while alti have all blue dots. I guess i gotta grow them out a bit more to be accurate. Thanks again :)
