zfoster22 and myself picked up some geophagus brasilensis. we each got four. his have spawned twice. he hasnt been able to keep any of the fry alive as far as i know, and mine finally spawned and im wondering if theres anything special to raising them. i do plan to keep a majority of them and i want to know if theres a certain temperature, food, breaking up the family, etc. like should i separate them from the parents or what?

thanks for your time and help.:)

Quick google would net results, thanks for relying on a single source that often has trouble giving out reputable information anyway. Easy fry to care for, simply feed Baby Brine Shrimp or other Fry Formula available from any LFS. Shouldn't need seperation from parents. I dislike referring to the term "Live and learn" because it's a poor excuse for people too lazy to do their own solid research the majority of the time, but with fry it is a bit that way.

Good luck with the next batch.

This should be in breeding forum..maybe you would receive more info there so i am moving it... maybe you can learn before the next babies in about 3 weeks... congradulations on having fry...that is quite a accomplishment since i heard these are tricky to breed... well maybe we will learn more.
