Geoghagus gottwaldi Orinoco

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ummm don't really know that much about them. Just looked at the CRC and they say they are a larger growing geo with an infraorbital stripe like G. taeniopareius. They come from the upper reaches of the Orinoco that has very soft acidic water. Can't wait to see pics!

There's not much info on them, at least online. I can't even find a picture. Were they recently described/renamed? I'd love to see them once you get them!

PS - Did the G. parnaibae fry survive? I lost two of my three adults to freak accidents over the past couple months and now all I have are the grow-outs. :(

I think they were first described in 2006? Sure you can come check them out when I get them.

What do you mean did they survive? No I didn't kill them LOL they are ALL doing great :)

I'm very interested to see how they look. CRC only has a pic of a dead specimen. Congrats on the pickup. Please post some pics when you get them.
