Sorry I meant mysis, I also tried alittle ram shrimp and he want enthused. He has only been in the tank for about a day, so maybe he is settling in still?

It's fairly normal for new fish to not eat for the first few days. After that if he still isn't eating then you might start to worry. Garlic helps get picky fish to eat if you end up needing other ideas of getting him to eat.

Yes I realize that, it is just that new fish atleast look at the food twice before swimming away. I won't really worry until the end of the week though.

Didn't even look twice at the garlic soaked mysis, and didn't even care about the shrimp. I even got all the stuff moving for him and he didn't care. He seems to he pretty comfortable, hanging in all the caves. I was thinking about maybe getting some ghost shrimp if he doesn't eat in the next week. If I do go that rout, could I get like 30, then put them in a 10 planted and feed them pellets/gut loaded mysis to make them slightly "nutritional." Also after he starts eating those what should I do?

Not sure about the GEO variant however my pixies eats everything meat wise but will not eat vegetable matter as hawkfish are stra8 up carnivores

I believe I have the one that is more closely related to anthias, I will try to get a pic, but he stays in the rocks most of the time.

Ugh, he started spazzing when I added some food so I checked my ammonia, which spiked to .25. I am now kicking myself over my n00b mistake of trying to push food on fish, so now I will be doing daily 2.5 gallon w/cs. Atleast I went with this guy first over the $275 pair of snowflake clowns, which will be added in a month. Hopefully this will allow him to settle in better (leveling out the ammonia) and HOPEFULLY start eating.

Still hasn't eaten, any ideas?
So far he has refused:

Frozen Mysis soaked in garlic
Pellets
Kill soaked in mysis
