I am getting ready to re-do my 75 gallon and was thinking of several different ways to do it. Wondering, I know geo's like sand, but would they work in a small gravel tank as well?? Thanks for any assistance in advance!

I use pea gravel, which is larger than typical aquarium gravel, and they don't seem to mind. They sift through it like it's nothing.

I prefer pool filter sand, its closer to the substrate I've seen they would encounter in nature.
Here are a couple under water shots taken of a river they inhabit, in northern South America..

I use Estes Spectrastone 3mm Walnut River Pebbles in all of my tanks and my Geo's have no problem with it at all.
