I was wondering if it would be possible to mix sand sifting geophagus with some angelfish I know geos are very active but they do tend to stay near the bottom also how do you think breeding the two In a 125 would workout. I also thought about severums with the geos

As long as you don't put really large Geos with baby angels or vice versa, you should be fine. I have angels and Geos together with no issues. They actually ignore each other. If you have a small group of each, they'll bicker and chase amongst each other and ignore the other species most of the time...

Mine get along very well. My Jurapari actually seems to like the Angelfish.

That's funny, I had a jurapari that thought it was a silver dollar for 2 years

Geos, severum, and angels all go well together however a full grown severum may stress out some of the smaller geos which may hamper breeding

I was thinking the same thing that maybe my Geo thinks he's an Angelfish lol. Its kind of funny though because i put a female Red Tabajos in his tank for a brief period because her husband in another tank was kicking her butt and she was trying to chase the Angels but the Jurapari wouldn't have it. I got a good chuckle watching him chase the Red Tabajos away from the Angels.

i have a red hump geo and an abalios with 2 angelfish, 6 dollars, red spot severum and a green sev, 4 veija ,15 colombian re fin tetras, plecs and synodontis and a convict. they get fed well and kept clean so all get along fine together. its nice to have a tank with fish from 1" to 12"
