My lfs had a set of geophagus balzani, 1 male with a nice hump on his head, and three females. The price was 99.99. Is that a good price for them, i was thinking about getting them and trying to breed them. Im not sure on the difficulty of breeding them. Any help will be appreciated.

Honestly, some will say that is too much, but in my eyes, that I would pay for a nice Harem of proven Balzanii. IMHO...

I would get them! They're gonna cost you roughly $10-20 each for a 2 incher. just as long as you are positive on the sexes, then go for it!:D

its ok, i make that mistake all the time, i think they were like 3-4 inches, but what size tank would i need to keep them housed for life?

Of course "bigger is better";) I think a 125 gal. and add a few small growing favorites of yours just to make the tank more lively!
