Has any one heard of this fish? I just got off the phone with my local lfs and the lady said it doesn't have a scientific name. I'm thinking it could be a hybrid. p.s. I'm pretty sure the lady knows her fish.

Impossible to say without a picture, dude. There are so many similar looking geo's and gymnogeo's, too.
I'll have to go there and get a pic. They are still in quarantine so she won't let me buy one yet.

Nope, there is not such a fish. She is probably just going by what the invoice said from her supplier.

O well i am going to go this weekend to get a Geo and a Seve but she has Juparis so i will just get the 1 i like more lol. I think i am going to get 2. If I run into any problems then i am going give one to my brother.
Geos and Sevs will be a good combo.

Can't say I've ever heard of any Eartheaters being referred to as 'Blue', sounds dodgy, but I guess the lack of common names for Geophagus and related species causes people to come up with stupid crap like that. Only Eartheaters I can really think of that has solid blues is Heckelii, their caudal fins are can be a solid light blue colour under the correct lighting.

Brasillensis can appear blue under the right light, but they're pretty aggressive and aren't really a geo by temprement.
