Which are more colorful? I want to buy another tank but theres not alot of information about these besides growth size and where they are from. I was looking at geos and the pictures of these two caught my attention. I know there not commonly sold but there gonna have to turn up somewhere lol

G. brasiliensis is more colorful overall. Gymno balzanii are generally silverish, although some strains have males that sport yellow on the lower surfaces.

Also could I put live plants with them? I would love a planted tank and attempted to in my 110 but didnt work out with the sevs or silver dollars. I knew it would happen but I had to try lol

The brasiliensis will dig and probably uproot most plants. I think you'd be OK with the bazanii.
