I bought these last night off another member and he told me they were Geo. sp. Altifron, and 3 Geo. sp. Red Head Tapajos.. I sent some pics to a buddy and he told me they were geo. Surinamensis.. Just need some more input on what these are?? Thanks..

The guy you bought them off was correct. True G. surinamensis are very rare, since they are not exported. Geos sold as surinamensis in lfs are usually either altifrons, abalios, dicrozoster, or another species. I believe all geos used to be lumped into one species, surinamensis, but once someone did morphilogical work or genetics on them they broken them down into multiple species (I could be wrong about this).

Btw geos love to play in sand

Thanks.. I was hoping they were Altifrons but i'm still glad i got some Geo's finallly. I just need to make sure they get big enough to hang with my rays and aro.. I'll be adding sand sometime soon so they'll have some stuff to sift through.. :)
