Need help identifying this 7-8" geophagus sold to me as a surinamensis. Lacking the color and streaming fins that i see when i google geophagus surinamensis. Possibly a female?

This is in the genus satanoperca, not geophagus. Based on the muzzle spangles I would say it is possibly leucosticta or mapiritensis.

Thanks for the reply. Seems you're right on. No wonder i could not find a match in the geophagus genus. I have 2 of these guys right now along with 2 severums in a 125g. Im thinking of adding 2 tapajos and 1 more severum.
