Geophagus ID please

Hi folks. Picked 3 of these little beauts up from the local shop. New to Geos and would welcome an ID from more experienced keepers.

Without showing their bars or black body markings it’s going to be difficult to tell.

It looks as if the midlateral spot is tiny, taking up only a couple scales, which is a diagnostic feature of G. altifrons. But that could be deceiving since the dark markings are faded.

I’m still going to say altifrons. As pictures 1 and 4 clearly illustrate, the midlateral spot takes up exactly 2x2 scales, coupled with the fact that the fish has no cheek stripe.
