I picked up these two for twenty bucks each. Cant seem to find out what geo species they are.

Last one is Acarichthys heckelii, not sure on the first one.

First one is a surinamensis. 20 is a bit steep but a nice fish none the less.

The first is possibly a G. Abalios. The second is definitely A. Heckelii as stated above.

They are not. I don't know if anybody here has seen one alive, or even knows what it actually looks like.

I think the first pic is an abalio and the second is def a heckeli! Both are great and nice fishes when bigger!!!

There are different types of surinamensis. But unfortunately they're are no true strains in the hobby.

I believe Surinemensis is a marketing ploy to sell Geos. I dont think there are actually any in the hobby or if there is, its rare. I know all Geos sold in pet smart are labeled as such. Even my lfs has them labeled as such. Usually that are always abalios.
