Geophagus ID?

Bought a fish today marked geophagus sp. I am usually good with geophagus identifying but this one has me a bit confused. Sorry in advance for the not so good pictures.

Hard to tell with those shots. You have any in-tank pictures?
 
I don't think it's Geophagus at all. The black earlobe mark behind the gill in the first picture and the rounded shape of the tail suggests an African fish, not a South American one. Tank shots would help.
 
I agree with Ryan, appears like it could be African, and my first impression was Thoracochromis buysi or albolabris, although both are simply guesses (They are also eartheater types of Africa). And I suppose it would be dependent on what Africans were common in your area, whether it might just appear in a LFS.
Where I used to live, Thoacochromis brauschi was very common at auctions and among local club members (probably because of its bright color).
