Hey guys.
Can someone please tell me what kind of Geophagus i have bought?
I was told they are Naembi but i am not sure.
They are about 4 inches big and are growing fast.

I was told naembi has many black double stripes on the body like 10+ for example.
My fishes only have 5 or 6 stripes with bigger space between the stripes.
That is why i am not sure.

The Guy at my lfs dont know the name because another guy ordered them and the guy just got fired.

looks like my female Albelios, which could also be winemilleri

Frank,I think you can rule out winemilleri. Your fish lacks the black cheek mark and dark chin area.

oh ok....but wasn't there another possibility it could be besides Albelios? Something that looked super-similar,.....

They look pretty similar.
From my research i also thought they could be Geophagus Abalios .
I also dont think they are Winemilleri because of the lack of the little black mark under the eyes.
Now i will keep my eyes open to find some more.

Megasema perhaps,they do have a large spot which is what Megasema means.they also lack any black cheek marks.
