Hello!

My lfs got these geophagus with an import from colombia. The fish was imported as G. surinamensis, but not labeled as such. Anyone have an idea of what they could be? View attachment IMG_1763.jpeg

They look small…hard to tell at this size. You’ll have to grow them out for a while. But if I had to take a wild guess looking at the fins, stress bars, and the fact they were brought in as surinamensis, I’d guess altifrons complex

They will be Geophagus abalios. G. abalios is traded under the name surinamensis in Colombia.
