New to these guys, wut do u guys think of them? Any aggression? My guy i get all my fish from is recommending a pack of 3 of them for my tank. And im just wondering about them. Ive done lil research and will continue but i always ask people who have them so here it is.

I'd get more than 3. Also how big is your tank? They can reach 12"

Try the search function. There's plenty of info on here

Satanoperca is the proper genus for jurupari - but they are in the family of Geophagus - so its all good.

Aggression and jurupari are seldom in the same sentence - these fish are not total pushovers, but are amongst the most docile cichlids.

Research is going in the right direction - most on here will agree to setup a tank themed around the fish not the other way around. Great fish with very subtle but beautiful coloration - bronze/gold/green with spangles of red and blue on the dorsal.

Keeping them in groups is a good idea too.

I have a 300g build in the making. Motoro ray, florida gar, silver aro, bgk, and a fire eel. I need sum help with the movement on the bottom of the tank and he said he keeps these guys with rays n aros with no problem. I don't want more than 3. I wanted only 2 and he insisted on atleast 3

5+ min ... they are very social cichlids. He shouldn't have sold you only 3 ... not enough stores take responsiblity any more sadly.
