Selling for a friend of mine who is one of the best aquarists I've ever known (despite being in the hobby for not that long). He has a group of Geophagus mirabilis that breed constantly. There is a group of 7, thought to be 2 males and 5 females. Roughly 6" each . I took the crumby video and can say they look way better in person. He said he'll take $300 for the group, which I think is a steal as I paid around $100 per fish of this size several years back. This works out to $42 and change per fish. Looking to sell as a group and will not split. Text me for more info at (760) 409-5299 as I'm guarding him against trolls. Pickup in Azusa, CA only.

Seen this add on craigslist for awhile. Glad it's finally sold shortly on here.

Guys I know that here its not the right place but I have to say this: I'm so jealous of you guys for having this amazing variety of fish so easy!

I mean, I'm brazilian and I've never saw G. mirabilis for sale around here. And man... The species endemic from my country. It's probably my dream geo!

Lucky will be who buy them.

I wouldn't think they'd be hard to sell, just a matter of reaching people who know something about them. Pickup-only left me out, since I'm 3000 miles away. I have two juveniles, might be two females, finding a male probably won't be easy.

They were never common here, but for a few years you could get them every so often from a couple of different sources. Now it's become rare to see them for sale, occasionally a private hobbyist sells some, I'm guessing they haven't exported any for a while, at least to the US.

In any case, yes, it's strange you can't get them there. My understanding is the pandemic, among other things, has made fish collecting/exporting in parts of SA a hit and miss situation.
