Hi :) , my LFS received 2 Geophagus neivae...they're 3" and $5 each one....one of them is a beauty and has a lot of orange, blue and green color :) .......but I don't know anything about this kind of Geo, I've been searching in some places (including here), but I couldn't find info about them, not even in Google :irked: .....I will apreciate if somebody had or has experience with this guys and want to share it:) .......
Thanks a lot and sorry for my poor English :irked:

THere are a ton of different Geophagus species out there, and your LFS prolly will not know thedifference in them. You should get them if u have sufficient room for them, 75G or BIGGGGGER. All eartheaters enjoy sand and placid tankmates, but they can push each other around. They are typically mouth brooders, and are excellent parents. If i were you i would get them, just because they are awesome fish, constantluy moving, constantly sifting their sand, and they get better and better lookin as the time goes on. log trailers and old colors are a definite. but yea, u may not find too much info on that Species ihave never heard of it, and maybe the name is from where it was collecte from. Good luck, and get me some pics!

Neivae is a variant of steindachneri and comes from Columbia, Rio Magdalena.
