I know somebody who has these as a breeding project I am fairly sure they are pellegrini but would like other peoples thoughts, I am not experienced on geophagus

Yes...i have a pair just like that.
 
Red humps are red, pellegrini are yellow (which is why they're called 'yellow humps' by some people) and that's pretty apparent in the photos. Only thing confusing, really, is for years, when real pellegrini were rare, steinies were sometimes being sold as pellegrini.
 
Thanks for all the replys, spoke to my mate today, he said it's looking promising so fingers crossed.
