How much should I pay for Geophagus "Red Head Tapajos" variety? Im looking for geos, but im really broke at the moment, but some came up on a local board for $25 for a 4" fish. Bad or good?

Very good price. I just paid 10.25 each for 1.25" specimens. I was locally so i did

IMO it's a bit hefty but if the fish is good looking, go for it. They are not difficult to breed so if you spot a pair, I'd suggest to grab them quick.
I love Red Head Tapajos, but in Singapore, we have good supply of this fish, and the price is USD13 to 15 for a fish of that size. However, a show specimen would fetch a much higher price as there are collectors who would pay top prices for a good fish.

I paid $39.99 each for red heads at 4". Rapps has them at 5" I think for $65.
