One part of my breeding pair has a real bad case of ich. They are in a 29g with a 10g sump by themselves, other then a few fancy plecos.

I read salt was good, but I didn't have any aquarium salt. I used "100% natrual" Mediteranian Sea Salt. It said it only contained sodium, so I used it...

1:7 tbsp:gallons of water

I have tried ich medicine, rid ich. My male is almost better, but my female isn't. Temp is at ~83 degrees F and no carbon. I been doing water changes every other day, around 30%. Although, I only did a 10% today.

Someone help me. I'm so upset about these guys. What else can I do. I feel like I want to cry... ! :(

wow. sorry

i think getting aquarium salt and loading that in there would help a bit more umm youre already doing everything i would say so i dont know what else to suggest sorry!

Are you adding salt back every water change?? I wouldn't do a waterchange til for a week if that.. But that is just me.

I would turn the heat up another degree or two as well..

What you must know about ich and treating with Salt and heat. The heat speads up the life cycle which means; that the ich will look worse and then start getting better. As the spores hatch tehy will be unable to live and reproduce in the salty and warm water. Still you must wait a while after your think it is gone to do much with the tank ro it will rise again.

I agree, I just beat ick in my 75 gallon recently. I used a lot of aquarium salt and cranked up the temp. to around 85 degrees. I caught it pretty early, so it took about a week for my fish to clear up.

how long has it been? if the male is better there is no reason why the female wouldn't get better too. Good luck, keep us posted.
