I picked up a breeding pair for 60 dollars. I did a little barganing from 70 to 60 so I feel pretty good.
The male is around 6" and the female is about 5-5.5". They are in a 29g tank with leopard frog plecos and a royal. That should be fine for them, at least for now. I have a 10g fry tank for when they breed. Filtration on the 29g is a diy 10g sump, an Eheim 2028 and an Eleite Hush 35.
