Just wondering if anyone else is keeping these?

I recently (couple of weeks ago) got 6 juvies. They are about 2 inches total length atm.

The shocker for me is that 2 of them paired up and spawned already!!!

So I was curious if anyone else had such young fish spawn? Basically it is "babies havin babies"

The brasiliensis complex are known for breeding at a very small age. I've kept the general G. brasiliensis, but mine didn't breed till the male was 8" or so. I'll hopefully be collecting some in Uruguay in November. :P

Very nice fish, one of my favorites. Are yours starting to show the red on the unpaired fins, or are they too small yet?

Still to small for the red yet. This just really took me by surprise. But now I have babies. So its kewl.
They are currently in a 20 gal quarantine tank yet. The other juvies are relegated to the other end of the tank. heh

Thanks for the input man.

this is 2 of the fry wich originally was 32 fishes now they are around 23 some went into the filter wich i have pulled out then and others died sucked in during water change :( how lame i hope the rest makes it tough
