Hi, really into geoghagus species and would potentially like to get a group, what are your suggestions for first time geophagus species- I like the tapajos(orange heads) and altifrons. What would be a suitable number and minimum tank size. I am getting approximatly a 100G tank, although currently have a full grown festivum(5inch), a female green sev(5inch) and a blood parrot(4inch) which would also be in the tank- would I still be able to house geophagus or would that be pushing it?
Thanks
Jason

Not sure on stocking because it would depend on your setup & filtration but those 2 you mentioned are good choices....

For a 100g tank and your current tankmates I'd stick with a school of G. sp. "Orange Head Tapajos" (aka Red Heads) and skip the G. altifrons
