ok i just bought 5 of these guys and a female has fry in her mouth. i put her into a breeding cage, my question is, is there a way i can get the babies out of her mouth? would this be the best thing to do? ive seen people do it with their africans, but i wasnt expecting when i bought these guys to already have fry. thanks for any help

I've never in my life seen the word breeding so badly butchered :grinyes:

please forgive me of my awful mistake, i meant brooding, but thanks for your help

I put mine in her own 10 the first time, then when I was overrun with fry, I used a floating breeding cage, she will take a couple days to settle down, but will spit, the pull her out, and back into gen pop!

Did you really mean brooding? When I read it I thought you had meant to put breeding. It was my laugh of the day, so thanks. No need to get defensive over it! Wasn't a mean comment, as notated by the laughing/bobbing grin. :grinyes:

i didnt take offense to it. i know we are used to seeing bad spellers and horrible grammar on here, but did you really think someone would think breeding was spelled with o and a?

Yes I in fact did! As you said, there are some bad spellers and horrible grammar users around here :D

I took it as a slip like you were thinking of brooding and breeding and females... I mean you have broad(female) + brooding or breeding. I have slips like that myself often and usually catch it when I proofread.. which I think is why I found it so funny ;p I know what it's like to have those slips fairly often, though my wife usually says it's a freudian related slip, lol.

At any rate, g/l with the fish ;)
