In a Smuckers jar.
My LFS just got some Geo Surinamensis and I was wondering how big do these fishes max out at? And how large of a community can be kept in a 180 gallon tank? Are there any special requirments that these fishes need? I didnt want to ask the people working at the LFS because they are know to give wrong info sometimes.
Thanks

max out around 12", probably a little smaller in tank, around 10"

neat i have three of those, mine are about 1 to 1.5

they grow RRRREEEEAAAALLLLYYYYY slow i have had 2 for just over a year and they are hitting 4.5"

and they do bicker back and forth but no real fighting.

about 1.5 "

and that is with a 50% water change once a week (sometimes every other week)

I have found that they grow very slowly. The dominant fish seems to grow at a much faster rate than the others. I have 5 ranging from 2" to 4".

Huh I see. Does the slow growth apply to all the species of geos or just this species? If they are really slow growers I can probally get them sooner and just put them in a 60gallon untill I get the 180. How long do you think the geos will take to out grow the 60(36x18x18").
Thanks
