I have done some research on this already but have not found anything ideal.

I currently have some juvie geos in a 100g with some bronze corys and a breeding pair of sajica, but will be moving the sajica at the weekend.

I am looking to replace the sajica with a singular colourful south american cichlid that will get no bigger than about 8 inches. I would also consider a catfish from this reigon..any suggestions?

Thanks!

Heckili are definitely an option. I have previously had these but never got them past the 4 inch mark before I had to thin my stock out.

What are their aggression levels like as adults?

That's a nice specimen you show what is he's size?

Heckalli adults are really peaceful and never had any issues. Even inter species aggresssion is very low. That fish is around 8 inches and I believe female. They are great fish, recommend them in a small group of 4. I keep mine with various eartheaters.

Got 1 heckelli 3yrs ago and 3 more a year ago and in that time I've seen liplocking once and twice one of them lost their trailers. Now matter how rowdy the rest are acting the heckelli are left alone and they mind their own, except when I thin my endler population and they becom exceptional hunters.
