What other cichlid can be with geophagus'? I've heard of green terrors not causing too much of a disturbance. 90-100g tank.

I wouldn't go with green terror. If you like the acaras then you could go with something a bit more mellow like blue acaras or severums. Geos don't do so well with aggressive fish its not worth risking the terror disturbing the geos natural behaviors you want something that will leave them alone

I would recommend Mesonauta (festivum), any of the Heros sp (efasciatus, notatus, severus, sp. 'rotkiel'), Chocolate cichlids, Uaru, and Acara types (diadema, pulcher, portalegrensis, etc.) Guianacara sp. to name a few

Most cichlids would work in my opinion. Although, never had my geos with a Midas/Red Devil, Dovii, Umbees, Oscars. But if you're wanting the geos to exhibit natural behavior such as breeding. I'd stick with a schooling community of tetras.

I agree

Well, I'm just in the planning phase right now for my tank. Thanks for all the input so far. My ideal species would be altifrons, tapajos, winemilleri, daemon, and maybe some of the gymnogeophagus species, such as a balzani.

Or my other idea was to breed a select species, was thinking tapajos or altifrons -- in a breeding environment, would any other tankmates be tolerated? (Saying I have 1 Male to 3-4 Females)
