Hello everyone. I have a group of Red head Tapajos in a 90 gallon. 2 of them just paired up. The pair are fighting every other fish off that gets near them. Female showing anal tube. The tank only has driftwood in it but I just picked up 2 rocks from the garden/backyard. Is it ok to use in a aquarium? Do I have to boil the rocks first?

Yeah boiling them is a good idea, sterilizes them and makes it safe. As long as the rocks that you grabbed in the first place are aquarium safe

Thanks. Also this is my 1st time breeding fish. Do I need to isolate the pair or will it be fine with the other tank mates? There are 4 x 3-4" clown loaches and 3 x Gymnogeos in there as well. Rest of the tank mates are other Tapajos.
