What size are they now?

Just from personal experience, a well rounded diet and more WC's than you think is necessary;)

Mine actually first spawned because I decided to mix two seperate groups of Orangeheads together. Within a few days they layed eggs!!!

To be honest I thought mine would NEVER breed and was contemplating just getting out of the hobby all together, then they started to breed! LOL

my largest are about 4 in...3 of them and i have 3 2.5in. the smaller ones often dig and do side to sode dance where they are almost slapping there tails together. the latger ones just flare their fins out at each other. the smaller ones also do this!!! my temp is at 76.5f/24C. ph im guessing 7. thats what our taps come out at!!

I would definitely jack up the temp to atleast 80. Mine are about 82.

All I can tell you is to be religious with your WC's and feeding habits and they will breed for you very soon. Keep an eye on their mommy and daddy parts, the female's tube will drop just before she layes any eggs and you will also see very distinct "pits" that they will dig near the spawning site which is for future use/safety of the free swimming fry.

BTW, my PH is 7.5 and my GH is 12, which is by no means ideal for the Orangeheads. It will just be a matter of time before they breed for you. Just stick to your WC's!!!
