My geophagus tapajos red head just had their fry in my 125 gallon community tank. I siphoned the fry out and moved them to a 20 gallon tank. Right now I have been feeding them flakes. Is there any special care for the fry? Will flakes be okay for them to eat? This is the first time I have ever bred or even taken care of fish fry.

these will eat the flakes if they a finely crushed but you should hatch out some brine shrimp. its very simple to do im sure theyre is a thread on here explaining it in exact details

Alright thanks! Should I hold back on water changes?
And is it alright that the fry are without the parents? The fry hatched 4 days ago and I moved them immediately and now the pair laid eggs again!

Yes its fine. When take care of fry i usually do every other day some say everyday for water changes you just have to be careful and if they still have a egg sack there is no need to feed them until its gone
