Ok, long shot I know, but getting fed up of faceless, nameless people ignoring emails from me... I'm looking for a placement for my dissertation, and am currently a 2nd year geophysics with geology student. I really want to work on volcanoes, but unfortunately, in Britain, the only volcanoes are dead and boring and not going bang 
(ok ok, I'm a bit of an adrenaline/danger junkie). So, does anyone on here work, or know anyone who works in geophysics? What I really really want to do is a gravity survey of an active volcano to map the deep structure of it... but I will take anything if I get to travel! I know this is a really long shot, but it's worth a try... I'm getting good grades as well - 72% average (aka 1st class, which I think converts to a 4.0)... So please... anyone?
