Just wanted to share some of my photos from the Georgia aquarium, if you’ve never been. The voyager exhibit (above) is far worth it alone to just sit and watch for a hour, especially if you take something like the guy at the glass ?
The other exhibits such as the freshwater systems are a little lackluster, especially compared to this one but still a good time if you’re in the area.
Btw If you think it looks pretty small for the two whale sharks, it does! But if you go onto the top level and see the tank from above, it’s a massive track and this is just the main display area to the public. I don’t believe it’s as deep on the other end but it has some size. I’ve really never enjoyed tall aquariums but this makes me dream for massive wall display from head to toe one day.
For the acrylic lovers it’s definitely far from the seamless panels of the Japanese aquariums out there, the glue/bonding methods used overseas seem to be on a new level but nonetheless it’s still impressive.
