Hey Everybody,

Stocking a grow out tank for the time being to help get some fish growing before they are moved to a 300 in april. So far in the 75, I have 6x (one inch) silver dollars and 5x (one inch) clown loaches. They have been together since yesterday. All eating great on nls pellets and blood worms...the clowns have been in the tank a few days before the silvers. I plan on getting next week some orange head geos also at one inch.... this will most likely be the end of the stock. As in the next few months Im confident they will grow a few inches well at least the silvers and geos.

Will the geos cause any harm to the silvers or vice versa?

I kept them together without incident. Sd were hockey puck size and the tapajos were 1.5", had the geos until 6" and never an issue.

If the silver dollar are bigger than the geos, it's a bad combo.
If they are + - the same size, it wont be a problem to both of them.

Great that you posted that, I will watch closely...today my Geos came in...and are little smaller then the silvers. If I notice and kind of aggression I will remove the silvers.

Need to figure out a way to catch them without stressing the other fish...

I picked up my geos from a guy who had them with silver dollars. Every one of the geos had their fins nipped and torn from the SDs, and the geos were an inch bigger. I don't recommend this mixture from my experience.

sd's are easy to catch .... just dont use sudden movement...sneak up on them
